No matter how fast a person is, their past will always catch up to them.

In the previous Fast and Furious film, “The Fate of the Furious”, one of the main characters, Dominic Toretto, has always cherished his family. While family is more important to him, he was forced to work for a mysterious woman named Cipher and betray his family.

Using Dom’s ex-lover and Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) agent Elena Neves as well as their son, of whose existence Dom was unaware as bait to get him to work for her.

Cipher has Dom steal an EMP device from a military outpost in Berlin, after retrieving the device with DSS agent Luke Hobbs, getting Hobbs arrested and imprisoned with an ex-enemy Deckard Shaw. They both soon escape the prison and are recruited by intelligence operative Mr. Nobody to help the team (Dom’s family) find Dom and capture Cipher.

Cipher has an assistant named Rhoades who executed Elena in front of Dom after Dom saves Letty from an ambush. Still under Cipher’s control, Dom does a last mission to retrieve a nuclear football, a briefcase of contents of which are to be used to authorize a nuclear attack, that is held by the Russian Minister of Defense. He soon turns on Cipher and reunites with his family to capture her. While she was cornered on a plane by Shaw, she escapes by parachuting from the plane.

At the end Shaw delivers Dom, his son, putting his differences aside with Dom and Hobbs, and Dom finally names his son, Brian.

With the family back together, Dom and his wife, Letty, settle off the grid with their son, little Brian. But danger always lurks in their lives as his past finally catches up to him.

The threat will force him to confront the sins of his past if he’s going to save those he loves most.

His crew joins together to stop a world-shattering plot led by the most skilled assassin and high-performance driver they’ve ever encountered, a man that holds the bloodline of a Toretto, Dom’s forsaken brother Jakob.

For any big fan of the Fast and Furious series, Fast and Furious 9 will be coming out to the big screen on May 22.
